I've never had an issue with a SFC shoe. Yeah, I've had to break in a pair from time to time, but I've had these for almost a month and my feet keep getting worse. First it was just sore feet after a long shift. Then it felt like one of my toes was being pushed upwards so I kept curling that foot. Now the bottom of both feet hurt the day after a shift.
I called in to get an exchange and the rep was very helpful. Even though I no longer had my box and return slip, she set everything up for me and e-mailed me the UPS label. I then ordered a different pair. The same pair I had worn previously with no issues.
I've had this style in the past it was the best in comfort and durability. I don't know if I got a bum pair or something changed in the past couple years, but the track record of SFC in the 10+years I've used them has been phenomenal. So I'll chalk this up to being the equivalent to an overcooked steak; it's a mistake but not the end of the world.

I have been using Shoes For Crews for almost 20 years, and have always found the quality and slip resistance to be incomparable. I average about 16-18 months of usage from each pair of shoes I own, more if I rotate them and not wear the same pair every day. The Explorer is by far the finest shoe I have ever worn, comfortable from the first day of use. My feet never hurt, even after 10 hour shifts. Well worth the money!

I usually don't spend this much on my work shoes but I was tired of replacing the Cambridge every couple months when they would wear out so based on the reviews I decided to try this style. Let me start with the positives. Excellent slip resistance as with all shoes I have ever purchased from Shoes For Crews and a very nice looking shoe. Part of my decision to purchase these shoes was based on the previous reviews however I was extremely dissapointed. By far the worst pair of shoes I have ever purchased! I don't know if I got a bad pair or if they just are not the style for me. After a 10 hour day on my feet I would be so sore I could barely walk to the car. The left shoe feels great but the right one feels like I am walking on rocks. I went back to a worn out pair of Cambridge for a week and they felt better, after a week I tried them again and same thing. Based on my experience I would caution against them but most people seem to love them.

I decided to buy these shoes in hopes of something that would not kill my feet at work, I felt the difference on my first day of work, They have saved my feet. I work on wet floors all day and not a slip anywhere. I have finally found a shoe that looks good, Won't slip at all and is more comfortable than any other work shoe I have ever had. I have gone through many pairs of shoes in the last year and think these will hold up much better than other brands. I found myself recommending sfc after a few days of buying these shoes.
