Shoes For Crews®, The Shoe That Grips®

I have bought from Shoes For Crews for several years now and have been very happy with the quality, style, and endurance of their shoes. However, this is the first pair that I have ever had a problem with in that it has not lasted me as long as other styles. I work in restaurants and tend to put myself through long hours on my feet either as a manager, serving, or cooking. Previous pairs I have had from here have lasted me bare minimum a year before they started to show signs of falling apart. This pair has lasted me only eight months. Fair enough, that is a decent amount of time for a regular shoe, but I have come to expect more endurnace from Shoes For Crews in past. The laces actually broke within the first three months, that was most likely my own fault due to handling. The main deterioration is happening around the seam where it meets the sole of the shoe to the point where I will not be able to wear them to work because they are looking hagard. I will continue to buy from Shoes For Crews since I have been so satisfied in the past, however I will not buy the Rover style again as I am most definitely not satisfied with their endurance.

I cannot say enough about these shoes. I've worn them since March '08 until now (July '10) and they are still holding up. They look a bit worn, but that's to be expected when being worn for 50+ hours a week for two+ years. They're absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend them. The only thing that has gone wrong with them is that the eyelet for my shoelace has ripped. Other than that the shoe has everything going for it. Incredibly comfortable and rugged. Great for running around in a crowded, busy restaurant.

I am about to purchase my third pair of the Rover since summer 2006. I'd say two years of continuous use per pair is very much worth it. These shoes have a sharp casual and dressy look. These shoes are the best I have found for bar tender and/or serving. Great grip on wet surfaces, great grip in a frozen over walk-in freezer that use to cause me all types of slip incidents with other slip resistant shoes. I am a natural cynic but these shoes are the real deal. 20 dollars per year is cheap investment in your safety and sharp look. 1st pair was worked in 50 hours per week for 1 year. After two years on the 2nd pair the only issue I see is that the heal portion of the shoes is coming undone due to stitching. Still usable but it's time to upgrade.

I have only had these shoes for 4 months. The lining of the shoe is coming apart badly, and the leather on one of the toes is seperating. I have worn shoes for crews for many years and this is the only pair I have ever had any problems with. They are very comfortable, but are a bit hard to get on and off because of the design.

Not a bad work shoe. Can double as a dress shoe if you can keep it clean. the back stitching eventually split but that was after 2 years of solid wear. Round laces suck. All in all I got my money's worth. about to by my second pair from SFC, try something different this time.

i have ordered from SFC for a while now and these are the ones that i hope never get discontinued, these look great and they feel even better than that. i work in a hair salon and while i feel a little slip now and then (from stepping on cut hair) the traction is good, they look like shoes not-"work shoes"..every hairstylist needs to get this pair

Had these shoes for two years and they just started separating at the heel and sole. For two years of wearing them 5-6 days per week, and being on my feet for 8-10 hours per day, I would say that they are well worth the price, and the longest lasting shoes I have ever worn to work. Usually I will wear out a tread on a pair of shoes in about 6 months, and these barely show any wear after two years.

These particular shoes are far superior to any I have ever found elsewhere. I have worn the same pair for nearly two years (working 50-70 hours a week) and am only replacing them now because they are separating at the toe. These shoes are a far better deal than Wal-Mart (3-6 months per pair) or even Payless (6-8 months per pair). SFC continues to have better quality stitching, more water-resistant and much more comfortable shoes than anyone else. That's why I keep coming back!

These shoes for the money are a no brainer! I am on my feet 100% of the time at work (about 5-6 miles a night, pedometer!) I had to get a heel support Inner-sole, now they're perfect! The inside heel started tearing away (all my shoes do this)after 2 months. I expect these shoes will last years! As for the slip-resistance, I have never felt so secure on wet/ oily floors. I'm not kidding, I try to slide and I can't. Great buy! I just ordered the wing-tips! I'll let you know!

SFC shoes are the only ones my crew has ever had that actually stand up to heavy weather in the Bering Sea and North Pacific. All Cooks, Galley Assistants and Housekeepers have been wearing them with excellent safety results. Very comfortable and durable. Thanks for the great product!

These shoes are great...I want BROWN!!! I'm running around 12 hours a day, 6 days a week in these bad boys and never had a slip once! They are so comfortable that most of my work attire has changed to black so I can match with these shoes. Please, give us brown!

These are HANDS DOWN the best shoes for the money, if you're on your feet. I have been in the restaurant business for over twenty years. I have bad feet, and have always invested over a hundred dollars at a time for good shoes. I received a pair of these a year ago when I started a new job, and never looked back! this shoe is great. i wore these shoes everyday to work 12 and 13 hour shifts and i used them and abused them. one time i even took them to a dance (i didn’t have any other dressy looking shoes) so i shined them up and they looked cool too. buying another pair. thanks SFC
