A darn good shoe. I've been wearing my pair for 2 years and they work great. They got a bit uncomfortable after about a year or so, but some drop in inserts fixed that problem fine. The only true problem I had is that the metal rungs that hold the laces in place will tear through any conventional laces you can buy at a store to the point that I bought black parachute cord from a surplus site and have been using sections of that for laces just so they last longer. Overall a great shoe though. - Joshua Y, Sous Chef

I had two pairs supplied by a former employer and wore them each, every other day, through a great deal of maintenance and repair work 3 years. They never failed to help me walk more securely on wet, smooth floors or floor areas with active leaking on them(pipes,drains,etc..).I have purchased, gladly at my expense, two more pairs to wear at my current job.
After two slip and falls while wearing "lug soled, steel toed, safety shoes" of high quality, in fact causing a broken foot and later a dislocated knee, no other work shoes go on my feet but these sure-footed Steel Toe Yukons. My only regret is that the lining gets torn but 5 star rated just the same. - John C

I work with batteries that range from 1200 to 3500 lbs every day and I can run into some acid problems. Let me tell ya, these boots I've had acid, chemicals, water and mud on them and they hold up great. They are a very comfortable boot and I will never change as long shoes for crews keeps supplying this boot. Tip....buy the gel heels you feel like your walking on air. - Kevin W, Battery Handler

The shoe is amazing, the only complaint I have are the shoe laces, Ive got through about 4 pairs of them since I bought them, and its a hassle. Is there some stronger laces that these shoes can come with?? PLEASE!!!! But I will buy another pair of these shoes no matter what. - Eli V, Stock Clerk

So far I've bought all but 3 types of steel toe from shoe for crews and this one is by far the best overall, the feel, the weight, the comfort, everything about this boot is great. I'm going to buy the other three and if it can top this model, I will let people know about it. - David S, Chef

awesome shoes. the most comfortable work boots ive ever worn. nicest boots ive ever seen. only draw back is the toe is wearing out and the slip resistant sole is peeling off. just over 6 months old and looking to buy new ones. would recommend though awesome for the price every day of the 9 months ive had them have been super awesome the entire time. - michael S, shift manager

The Best shoes I've owned. Only problem i've ever had is stuff getting suck in the bottom of the shoes (rocks and food scraps while your cleaning can be a pain) besides that its been perfect.even with that never slipped so its just an irritation. - Michael C, Cook

Overall a great shoe but more thought is needed in a couple of areas.
First, my feet are size 13W, I have ankles just as large which prevents the narrow, undersized shoe tongue from covering the backs of the top two lacing loops causing constant irritation.
The other minor complaints-the insoles should be replaced before ever wearing the shoes and the lacing loops I mentioned earlier should be hooks instead. I tried wearing the boots for two 8 hour shifts, and I could see the lace loop issue (even with thick socks) would eventually make me quit wearing them. Otherwise they were well made, comfortable, and should be considered for those that need a steel toe work shoe. - Lee L, Mechanic A

This is an awesome pair of boots! Very comfortable and lightweight. A big plus when you're on your feet all day. Stepped through hydraulic oil and didn't even feel it. Excellent slip resistance. Will buy again. - Gabriel S, Receiving Controller

Used many work boots while doing work on restaurant equipment. None grip like these do!! The only drawback is the toes wear out before everything else and then they are not water resistant. If the toes were better they would be Nearly Ideal!!! - brandon K, Maint. Executive

Really like the shoes, but just too narrow in the steel toe area. Had this problem with many brands of shoes though. - david T, route sales

Not bad if you work with a moderate amount of water. I work with a lot of water, and it comes through the tounge/bootlace area.
The front toe area is already starting to degrade around the edge.
So, this isn't the best with a lot of liquids. - Michael W H, Deli

These shoes are great! The only drawback I had with them is that I wish they would have lace hooks to make getting them on and off easier. - Frank S, Production

I've been wearing shoes for crews for about three years now, all work boots, and it seems it always takes some breaking in to do. It is definately a 6 month boot. I work in a food processing plant where its a harsh enviroment, food oils, water, steam, they hold up pretty good but start falling apart after 6 months. I keep going back because there is no other comparison to the non-slip soles,it is the best nonslip I have ever worn, makes up for the other small flaws. Thanx shoes for crews. - Alex L, Maintenance
