I use to buy this pair about two years ago and they use have a better insole. Now they went with the cheaper insole at the same cost. They're still good though; I get painful feet, and these shoes help a lot. I weigh a little over 300 lbs, and this pair is able to deliver. - Jesse A, Asst. Mgr

They squeek!! And not too quietly. - Paul H, Manager

Bought the Metro slip-resistance and it is the most comfortable shoe that I have had on my feet. My feet would hurt when I had the rubber sole shoes. I stand up now and they don't get tired or my legs hurt. I am glad that I found you company when I did. Thanks alot. I'm ordering a dress shoe and getting rid of all my other shoes. - Kenneth L. Slip resistance & comfort was good at first but within a month the heel wore out (forming a sharp uncomfortable point) and the bottom became so clogged with crumbs that they were slipperier than my old running shoes. Also the shoes have flat soles that don't conform to your feet.
Despite this I kept the shoes for a year because I didn't want to spent another $50. Within a few months the top of the shoes started to separate from the soles and began to crack and break at the bend of my toes. All in all these shoes were not worth the money. Get them for the look if you have a desk job, but not if you spend 40 hours a week on your feet. - Matthew B, Counter Staff

I've had these shoes for almost 1 whole year and for the most part they were worth the price. The comfort was good especially since I'm on my feet and moving 8 to 9 hours during a shift. When I first got them I rolled my ankle a couple times due to the high heel, but once I got used to them I had no problems. They do tend to squeak when I walk and one heel has word down to the point where I have to replace them. The style is great however! Altogether, this is a worthwhile shoe if style is an important factor. - Rob D, Bartender

After wearing this style for some time I put them away to reuse at a later time, My mother ,who has some problems with walking found them and continued to use them. Needless to say she wore them out. She had no problems when she watered the lawn or on wet surface, I plan to order an other pair for her. - Diane M, Dietary Asst.

Excellent slip-resistance, very comfortable at first, heel wore to an uncomfortable angle quickly, and has a very audible squeak when walking. - Chris J, Retail Sales Chef

I really love these shoes but they wear out way to fast. I'm on my third pair...but they are well worth it. I've only had one problem and SFC took care of it immediately. - Nicholas L, General Manager

I'm on my feet 8 to 10 hours and have never worn any shoes this comfortable right out of the box. Slip resistance and sole cushioning is outstanding on all types of surfaces. - Rick M, Captain

This was my first par of shoes from Shoes For Crews. They gripped the floor great, but the heal of the shoes started squeaking and wearing funny. Everyone could hear me coming in the offices. I am going to try another style because of how good the traction was in the kitchen. - John M, catagory manager

A buddy and I both ordered the METRO. The new shoes looked great out of the box and felt good at first. But, within a month the heels wore out and I couldn't wear them. The same thing for my friend. I've been an SFC customer for years and this was my only bad experience. I've re ordered a different style and thery have been great so far. - mark D, co-manager

These Metro black shoes look almost like a pair of fashionable English shoes I used to own, but cost less than half the price. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box, I didn't even have to wear them in. The size was exact to my foot. The shoes came with dull shine that most people like, but I prefer more shine so I applied some shoe wax and now I think they look excellent. One small issue I have with the shoes is that due to the thick comfort insole, driving a car applies unusual pressure to my heel. Still, that's no problem at all compared to the pleasure of walking all day without pain. - Flint W, Engineer

Heel had a squishy/squeaky feel and sound and wore to an angle within a couple weeks. Caused me to have sore ankles, knees and lower back. Loved the Defenders but no reason to lug the steel around 60+ hours a week. - jake M, kitchen manager

OVERALL GREAT SHOES, AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF 13 HOUR DAYS, HOWEVER, THEY WEAR OUT AND COMFORT BECOMES AN ISSUE. THE NON-SLIP IS AMAZING. - CHRIS O, MANAGER
