Why non-slip shoes?

Team member slips and falls are the leading cause of all injuries our properties. In addition, many back, neck, knee and shoulder/arm strains are a result of team members who are injured due to poor traction while performing daily tasks.

What team members receive a discount on non-slip shoes from Shoes for Crews?

If a department requires team members to wear non-slip shoes, the team members will receive a 50% subsidy (up to $20) off the cost of the shoe every six months.*

* Currently, the discount is only available at Ameristar Black Hawk, Ameristar Council Bluffs, Ameristar East Chicago, Ameristar Vicksburg, Boomtown Bossier, Boomtown New Orleans, Cactus Petes, L'Auberge Baton Rouge, L'Auberge Lake Charles, The Meadows, Retama Park and River City.

How do team members order non-slip shoes from Shoes for Crews?

All orders may be placed via mypennonline.com. Through our online site, team members can:

  • View all shoe styles available
  • Order the shoes online for home delivery
  • Authorize payment through payroll deduction

Is payroll deduction the only form of payment available?

Yes, this is the only form of payment online. If a team member prefers to pay via credit card, they may call Shoes for Crews at 800-523-4448 and order directly.

Can a team member exchanges or return an order?

If a team member would like to order an alternate style or size, the shoes they receive can be sent back using a return shipping label that will accompany all orders. If the team member chooses to not purchase the shoes after receiving them, a credit for the purchase will be processed by Shoes for Crews and reflected on their paycheck (minus a small restocking fee).

If a team member is unable to log in, who should they contact?

Shoes for Crews provides 24-hour customer service and the toll free number: 800-523-4448. A special Customer Service Representative has been assigned to assist our team members. You can contact him directly: Steve Henderson at (561) 227-0735 or steveh@shoesforcrews.com. Any problems that cannot be resolved should be directed to your property’s risk and safety manager.

What is the Slip & Fall Accident Warranty?

To maintain the warranty, shoes must be replaced every six months. As a team member becomes eligible for a new pair of shoes they will receive an email notification from Shoes for Crews that they are due for a new pair.

What if my team member purchases a non-slip shoe from another company?

Some of our team members may choose to select a shoe that is not from Shoes for Crews. When this occurs, the 50% subsidy, online ordering and payroll deduction will not be available.
