Almost my favorite shoe in 20+ years w/using SFC
The fit and feel of this shoe is like a sneaker/tennis shoe. The most comfortable Fit I've experienced with SFC in 20+ years of using this amazing company and their shoes.
BUT: the outer material is the CHEAPEST I've had too. It looks like leather, but is maybe Vinyl or plastic? Odd and surprisingly cheap for this company.
I sent the first pair back after a hole appeared above my right big toe nuckle. It was way past the 'warranty'/return window. But SFC is awesome and they sent me a
new pair.
Got new pair, (again for free) and same spot has wear and holes w/in first month.
So sad, because this shoe had potential to be my favorite ever, if it was just made with stronger material/leather.
With a material change on outside body of shoe, I would give this 6 stars.

Not durable
I have been ordering from SFC for years in my job as a restaurant manager and have always been pleased with their quality. I ordered the saloon ll shoes for the first time. I love the style and comfort but after just 4 weeks, both shoes cracked in the uppers. I just exchanged them for a different style. I hope they are more durable.

Good shoes until the uppers split and peeled
I am a back of house/kitchen worker at my job and deal with large amounts of oil, flour, raw meat, water, soap, etc while moving a lot and bending, kneeling, and using my shoes to open our hands-free refrigerated cabinets. It felt completely fine for when I just started as I started just doing dishes. Around a month of having these shoes, the uppers started feeling loose like it wasn't attached. About a week later, it started splitting and has split many times and started peeling leaving my feet soaked and making my shoes look terrible.
I am in the process of getting new shoes but I think I may not buy from Shoes For Crews because I see so many reviews with the same comments on slip-resistant work shoes that can handle what I do. It seems like it has fake leather and doesn't work well. It fits well, is comfortable, and looked good until it split. I would recommend it for anything else probably except food service and restaurants because it does not last.

Looks great new but falls apart quickly
I have ordered through S4C for over 10 years. I liked the more relaxed look of these as opposed to the Cambridge and similar styles. But these just don’t hold up. As others have said, the outer material is cheap and both shoes have cracked and peeled over the entire front half of shoes. It was past the 60 day exchange but not by much. Also, my right foot wore through the sole much too fast and was basically destroyed. If you are on your feet much, I would buy something else.

Worn out after 4 months!
Looking at my purchase history these shoes have worn out in just 4 months! They didn't look as good in person as they did in the catalog but they were light and comfortable. But as often the case with Shoes for Crews the top wears out faster than the sole, but 4 months? That's too fast

Cheap quality esp. uppers matetial
I heralded the fantastic quality, functionality and value of SFC since the 1980's! No more. These Saloon II started cracking/splitting within 2 weeks of use. Yes, they replaced with another pair but same results. I won't trust any shoe from SFC to last at this point. I guess they replaced good quality leather from USA with cheaper outsourcing materials to increase CEO's bonuses. Too bad. Another one bites the dust. What a disappointment.

Run Big
Been wearing different SFC styles for years. Bought these as a more casual option and ordered the 12W like always and when I got them my feet were swimming in these. Way too wide for my wide flat feet. Would recommend sizing down on these, they're like 4E width.
