Keep in mind I haven't worn these on the floor so I'm not sure how slip resistant they are or how they feel after a long double. With that being said, the only reason why I'll be returning these is because they aren't black. The descriptions lists the shoes as black but they are grey and with a strict all black uniform I won't be able to enjoy these shoes. I'm only giving them 3 stars because I feel they're average and I can't rate them as excellent or awful. The pictures are very accurate and the 3 stars is for my dumbass hoping that they would be darker than they are.

Wow! You have really ruined me, Shoes for Crews. I now only own kitchen footwear even when I am not working. This new shoe, the Hayden, is the definition of comfortable. We all know the classic cook's story, on our feet for countless hours for days and days in a row. So, to have a comfortable pair of shoes that sport good looks is really a win. The canvas keeps my feet from taking on that less than pleasant 'kitchen feet' aroma but are durable enough to keep me safe. I leave the kitchen, I don't need a change of shoes; the Hayden is hipster without being ridiculous. This new style is a Michelin shooting star winner. They really don't look institutional and go well with jeans after a long shift. Ya' never know when you have to jump behind the line to lend a hand. At least I won't fall. Thanks for keeping the styles current!

I ordered a size 9 and they feel perfect; they were true to size and the arch support is adequate. They weren't tight and feet feel comfortable and can breathe. The one problem I had was temporary mild pain on my Achilles tendon from it hitting the heel of the shoe but as I said the pain went away as the fabric loosened. They can also get dirty easily because of the canvas fabric collecting food dust.
