Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from I received this pair three days ago, and I have been wearing them every day. So far, very comfortable shoe! SFC always supplies thick and cushioned insoles with all their shoes, and this is no exception. In fact, these have a bit more reinforcement around the heel and arch area. The soft rubber tread adds additional cushion. And the slip resistance, absolutely as advertised! However, I think the steel toe actually increases the size of the toe box, giving the "Senator" a little more of a boot look rather than an "Italian styled" dress shoe as displayed in the photos. Still, happy with the purchase!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Bought this for my husband; he is a sales executive in a manufacturing setting. Runs a full size large - definitely order down. Shoes are not as shiny as photographed; appearance is more matte. These work with khaki/twill pants and button downs, but are not dressy enough for suits. Wish I could have ordered the Diplomat (wingtip) but it has been discontinued. A real shame, as there are many execs who need a "true dress" safety shoe; this is a white space in the market. Overall, would purchase again as there are so few dress options in the safety category. Cons: scuff too easily, not as dressy as pictured.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Itsme from Just ordered my 3rd pair, quality has slipped Been using the Senators for quite a while. The tops scuffed easily against the non-slip soles, but that is user error and easily fixed with a quick buff. I've work these as my primary work shoes and no one ever knew they were steel toe ... blended fine in the office but hard to convince the factories that they were actually safety shoes. Wore my last pair or and just received the replacements. The new shoes are really disappointing. Quality has clearly dropped significantly. Still fine for factory shoes, but can't wear them in the office anymore. The edge of the leather is loose and unfinished and really looks bad. I'm probably end up leaving these at one of the factories as i can't really use them as everyday shoes with a suit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from I don't usually fill these reviews out, but I do like when people do as it helps me to make a better decision. I don't care to buy clothes and such online too much but needed some dressier steel toes. These shoes are great! They look nice enough to wear with a suit, or just dockers. They even look nice with jeans. They are comfortable and made out of leather. The bottoms are unbelievably grippy. I had a brief chance to wear them on ice and they were of the most traction I have on any shoe. Wore them all day all week and feel fine. Enough in the toes area to be comfortable. I will buy another pair and the price is right as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from The Senator Steel toe is great for the office and out on a job site. Especially when its a meeting/review the process of construction. The none slit comes in handy when walking around a job site or climbing onto a roof. The one thing to be aware of is when choosing your size. I've measured myself at the store and by tracing my foot on a piece of paper like Shoes for Crews directed. Both instances I should be a size 11.5. I would say they are 3/4 of a size to large. A 10.5 is to small and the 11 has a little room. But overall I am very pleased. The service was excellent. The return and exchange process is quick.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JOSEPH D. from I really like the Senator look and feel. I went from the slip on Senators in black to the shoe lace, but after wearing this pair for 3 days into meetings, the steel toe portion easily scuffs and now I have a small indent. I am very careful when I walk in my good shoes, as I am Jordan collector (so you know I keep my shoes clean). I am disappointed as I just bought this pair in September. Be advised its a great pair and brand (SENATOR) but the leather and steel toe isn't durable as I want it to be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from I work as a production supervisor, so the shoes need to look good, feel good and also be effective. I ordered a half size down due to all the reviews saying that you should really order a full size down. I needed them ASAP and didn't want to risk having to send them back and wait. You truly should order a full size down when purchasing. The leather looks good, but they're not as good looking as the picture. I hope they produce these in brown later on and possibly a new design too. Highly recommend if you work in an environment that requires steel toe, but also a professional look.
