I'm in the automotive repair industry. It's solid and sturdy in the construction and sole. The non-slip feature shoud'nt even be questioned. (its there like every SFC product). It's pretty much a low-cut boot like they claim it is. I chose it too for the breathability.

These as others have said are a low cut boot. Takes a little time to get them broke in. Comfortable after they do.
