Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Durable I have had these shoes for about a year and a half and they are still very nice. I work about five days a week and wear these every day without fail. I had to buy new laces after a couple of months but that is due to the winter salt along with them getting constantly wet at work. You have to wear high socks with these shoes or else they will rub on the back of your heel. The description says that these shoes are water resistant but they do not seem that way. Overall, these are great shoes and very comfortable. Also the price was pretty good for such durable shoes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uncomfortable Seems like they mix the reviews together for both the leather and canvas style which made me make the mistake of buying these shoes. I bought the leather style which is beautiful out of the box. It's sturdy and nice LOOKING leather. I wore it to work, standing on my feet for 8 hours straight was a mistake in these shoes. The insoles were really flat, with a high top shoe I expected it to be a higher arch support but I was too hopeful. The biggest issue was the high top itself, it cut into my skin and left bruises on the back of both of my legs. The leather is different from the shoes I have bought before from SFC, it wouldnt budge and didnt move with the way the ankle bends. Too bad it didn't work out because they are so pretty!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Look great but really uncomfortable Was happy when i received the shoes and wore them for the first time. Got two pairs, one for myself and one for my wife. Mid way thru day 1, we both started having foot pain due to the way the shoe itself is built. The material is so stiff, that when the shoe creases as you walk, it digs into the top your foot. With the high tops, i didn’t have issues, but the low tops gave my wife huge callouses on her heels even with full length socks. I figured it would break in after a few uses, but i was wrong. Wouldn’t recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For flat-footers with pretty much no arch support, which is perfect for me. I like that the shoes hug my feet and ankles because of the high-top aspect, not that it provides any extra ankle support. I just like the feel. I seem to be in between sizes, so there is a little bit of movement (sliding), which is easily fixed with doubling up on socks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Narrow, Too Long, Hurt My Feet, Look Terrible I bought a pair of Old School IIs a couple of years ago -- best shoes I've ever had. But as so many companies seem to do, Shoe's for Crews could not let perfection stand -- they had to discontinue them and produce an Old School III, which is more boot-like than a true old school sneaker. I still would have ordered a pair of the IIIs when my Old School IIs wore out, but although they still feature the Old School IIIs on their website, and even have ads directing traffic to them, when you attempt to order them you are met with a disappointing "this item is no longer available" notice. What's up with that??? So I ordered the Pembroke, thinking they looked similar to the Old School IIs, but they do not, and the fit is terrible. They are the worst shoe I have ever attempted to jam my feet into. They are too long, much too narrow, hurt my feet just trying them on, and they have a rubber toe cap that completely destroys the look of the shoe. They look like skis and feel like a medieval torture device. I can't return them fast enough -- my feet hurt just looking at them. Here is my question to Shoes for Crews, and any other business that engages in the inexplicable practice of discontinuing popular products. If a product is not broken why must you attempt to improve it or modify it, or replace it with your misguided fantasies of something better? Did you not learn anything from Coca Cola's botched attempt to produce New Coke? If you want my business again, Shoes For Crews, bring back the Old School II!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Usually great shoes I work long hours in a kitchen and I really like these shoes for the slip and water resistance. I purchased my current shoes just a month ago and they already have a whole in the side. I keep these shoes at work so they stay clean and ready to go. The eyelets are chipped and, unlike my previous pairs, they're hard to clean. Like I said before, I like shoes for crews. Maybe it's just a different build or something.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay so these seem to be the replacement or updated version of the old school lowrider hi-tops SFC sold for many years. They are average. I like the look, but after a few shifts I can tell they will take longer to break in than my previous pairs. Good looking shoes though and I would buy again if they last through the summer season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, comfortable shoe but must wear high socks or high tops will cut into shins.
