best shoes for the service industry
i’ve been wearing these shoes as a server for 2 years!! at first you have to break them in which is terrible but easy peasy if you have long enough socks, but then they’re super comfy to wear! as said before, mine lasted 2 years and i’m getting a replacement today because mine has a hole in it :(

Super comfy
I just ordered this in hope of them being better than the Vans, i'm not usually a converse style shoe person but these are super comfortable and the support is amazing.

Great looking shoe, great quality!
I love these shoes, I am a server and these are the best shoes I have ever used! They are cushioned and comfy for my entire 8-hr shift and they look great. These shoes look so good, and are so comfortable that I bought another pair to wear outside of work; my friend -who is not a server- even bought a pair! The anti-slip is five-stars, and they are easy to clean by wiping them with a damp cloth. I have had the same pair (for work) for about a year, and they still look solid. I highly recommend these shoes - in canvas.

Sonic Carhop
I work as a Carhop/Crew Lead at sonic, and I've had a pair in leather for well over a year. I have worn my pair into literal rags, completely busted seams and the sole is falling off. However, the sole itself on the bottom is completely intact and has never held onto dirt too badly. They're easy to clean, hold up well to getting wet from drinks and stuff spilling, and they're pretty comfortable after you've broken them in. I would reccomened that you use inserts to help the flat-sole problem but I have naturally flat feet and they don't really bother me. My ankles turn in, so I can't wear anything low-top for work and these have been sturdy enough to keep my ankles supported like a brace! I'm very impressed and I think for the price they last longer than I expected them too.
Drawbacks:
Flat soles so you need to buy an insert unless you are comfortable being flat-footed.
Harsh/stiff material is a bit difficult to break in at first, and will absolutely rub off your skin if you don't have tall socks.
Bottom of soles will trap things in them and they need to be cleaned out to prevent damage.
Not waterproof- although they are pretty resistant to water being spilled on them they can flood if you're standing in a puddle or something while walking around at work.
Pros:
Provide excellent support to the ankles due to how tight you can lace them.
Last for a very very long time, making them relatively inexpensive.
Easy to clean, especially because they come with a small took specifically made to go into the grooves of the sole.
Look very professional, I've gotten a lot of compliments from my managers on them lol.
If you wear converse or vans a lot, these are just professional converse and they're really comfortable after you've broken them in a bit.
Fast laces- hard to explain well but it's so easy to tie these, lace them, or switch laces so putting them on for work takes zero time or effort at all.
Look good with colorful laces- a lot of work shoes are very bland looking and ugly, but these look really nice and you can change the laces to suit your job/personality. As a server, having colorful laces that match my hair and stuff always nets me more tips!
General thoughts? I 100% reccomend these for anyone who likes converse/vans and anyone in need of ankle support. I really think that the quality of them and how well they hold up (I walk in these an average of 7 miles a day, 5 days a week and it took over a year for them to stop being comfortable for work) makes the price absolutely worth it.
